Wendy Burke received her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984. She became Board Certified in Orthopaedics in 1993 after completing the Orthopaedics Fellowship Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente-Los Angeles. She recently completed her Advanced Masters Degree from the Department of BioKinesiology and Physical Therapy at USC with her research on shoulder dysfunction, and is presently enrolled in the Advanced Post Professional Clinical Doctorate Physical Therapy Program. In addition, Wendy completed a year-long manual therapy program given by Joe Godges, a Maitland based year-long manual therapy program by Dennis Dempsey and Wayne Diamond, a year-long fellowship program in Arthritis, and the PNF Program at Kaiser Permanente-Vallejo in 1991. She has assisted Richard Jackson with seminars on the pelvic girdle, lower kinetic chain biomechanics and its relationship to gait, as well as lack evaluation. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California, Loma Linda University, and the Professional Baseball Trainers Association. Wendy is a clinical faculty member at the USC Department of BioKinesiology and Physical Therapy, and clinical supervisor for Outpatient Rehabilitation at USC hospital. In addition to patient care, she works closely with the physicians and team members of the Shoulder Clinic at the USC Department of Orthopaedics, and as staff for the USC Center for Athletic Medicine. Wendy is a member of APTA, American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, and is a Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor.
