Koji Uemura graduated from the Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in Osaka, Japan in 1977. He received his license Acupuncture and Moxabution degree while in Japan. He received his Acupuncture license in 1978 in Los Angeles and decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He entered the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 1979 and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June 1982. Soon after, he joined Birdsell Clinic in Moline, IL as Head of the Acupuncture Department; he treated neuro-musculo-skeletal problems with the usage of Chiropractic and Acupuncture from 1982 to 1985. He then moved to Los Angeles in 1986 to open his private practice specializing in chiropractic, acupuncture, oriental herbal medicine, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation. He is currently using Kinesio Taping in his practice.
