How to Host a Kinesio Taping Seminar

Thank you for your interest in hosting a Kinesio Taping® Seminar.

There are two ways to host a seminar:

Option 1. You can coordinate the seminar on your own. The Kinesio Taping® Association will provide you with the contact information for instructor(s) in your geographical area or preferred field. You will plan the seminar with the instructor of your choice and negotiate with the instructor regarding his/her fee and other costs. Your facility will be responsible for all marketing and any other expenses and will collect all attendance fees. You must apply for KTA approval of the course agenda, see Application for Course Code Approval. With this option, you may designate your course as Private, and invite only attendees from your facility.

Option 2. The KTA will coordinate the seminar, and you will assist us as the host facility. KTA will market the seminar, absorb all costs, and collect all revenue. Your responsibilities will be to provide seminar space (to accommodate 20 – 40 attendees in a classroom style setting, i.e. attendees will need to be seated at tables, and there should be room to practice taping on a partner), daily refreshments (we reimburse the actual cost up to $5.00 per attendee per day), and all necessary A/V equipment and internet access. Additionally, you will provide KTA with contact information for local healthcare facilities so we may promote the seminar, as well as travel information for us to share with attendees. In return, you receive one free spot for every eight attendees at the seminar and a facility discount ($569 per attendee for 3 day seminar or $449 for a 2 day seminar) for additional staff attending.

There are many different types of Kinesio Taping® seminars available - you may host a regular seminar covering taping for the whole body, or you may request a specialized seminar. In order to allow ample time for marketing and promotion, we recommend that you choose a seminar date at least six months from now. If you choose to coordinate your own seminar, you probably won’t need that much lead time. A copy of Hosting a Kinesio Taping® Seminar - Questionnaire is available. This form may be used for either option. Please contact me if you have any questions or when you are ready to start planning your seminar. Thank you again for your interest, and I look forward to working with you.
