CKTP-Exam Information

Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner 

With an ever growing foundation of health professionals working to become certified in the Kinesio Taping® Method, the Kinesio Taping® Association International has designed a certification process that will allow dedicated practitioners to earn their designation as a Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner (CKTP).

In order to become recognized as a CKTP through the Kinesio Taping® Association the following protocols are required:

  1. Attend and complete the KTA approved KT1, KT2 and KT3 level courses. Please view the Seminar Schedule for approved course description.

  2. After completion of the necessary courses submit a copy of your course certificate with the approved course codes, completed Certification Exam Form and a check or money order in the amount of $99.00 (processing fee) made payable to Kinesio Taping® Association International.

  3. Once the Kinesio Taping® Association has received the required information, online instructions will be sent to you via email. You must provide a valid email address on your request.

  4. Upon submission of your test with the necessary 80% passing grade, the Kinesio Taping® Association will contact you with the results. Individuals may retake the test once at no additional charge.

Benefits of the CKTP status:

  • Certification demonstrates your recognized skill in the Kinesio Taping® Method and assures patients that you have met a high level of professional knowledge.

  • You can add the designation of CKTP to your professional title, allowing for enhanced advertising and marketing.

  • You will be eligible to be chosen as a lab assistant at approved Kinesio Taping® seminars.

  • You may submit your own case studies and research for annual US and International Kinesio Taping® Symposiums.

  • You may submit case studies, research and articles of interest to Kinesio’s quarterly publication Advance Healing.

  • You have the option of being recognized and listed by name and state on the Kinesio Taping® website for patient referral.

NOTE: On March 1, 2009, the KTA implemented a new, 98-question certification test for anyone who has completed the KTA approved KT1-3 courses and is interested in becoming a recognized CKTP through KTAI. This new test is a critical part of attaining our accreditation, which adds a new level of value to your education and certification. The exam fee is $99.
